Have been wondering about AI and cooking. When and how is it helpful to use AI for writing a food blog? Walked into the kitchen the other day and much to my surprise…
Dad: “Hi AI, what’s happening?”
AI: “Hi Dad! I have all kinds of ideas for what you can blog about. Where would you like to begin?”
Dad: “Hold on. Are you going to feed(!) me recipes for ‘family favorites,’ our specialty here at DRB?”
AI: “Sure. I’ve got millions of recipes I can choose from. Give me some key words so I can get started.”
Dad: “Not so fast. The whole deal here is ‘from my kitchen to yours.’ I find a recipe or pull one out of our past. I try it out, make changes, improvements, emergency substitutions, whatever, and see what happens. Then I report on the results. I might use canned ingredients now and then, but I’m not doing canned recipes. Got it?”
AI: “OK, don’t get excited. I can help you other ways, too.”
Dad: “Like how?”
AI: “I can automate your processes so you can publish more recipes, faster.”
Dad: “OK, you’ve got my attention.”
AI: “Let’s create an agent (an assistant chef to you) to take a recipe you find in a cookbook or post and import it into your handy recipe plug-in, formatting it automatically, so you can garnish it and post it to DRB. How does that sound?”
Dad: “Well, seeing as how this process has been a major drag on my DRB productivity, I’m all in—if you can really do it.”
AI: “Game on. Let’s get started.”
Dad: “See you in the kitchen.”
I’ll report back on this after playing around with AI and cooking. I’m excited about the idea of posting more DRB content faster without sacrificing quality. Good cookin’!
